Purpose of the Gaston Alzheimer’s Community
The Gaston Alzheimer’s Community is committed to ensuring those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias – including those living with the disease, their caregivers and their families – have access to high-quality care and support services to help them live their best lives possible. All programs and services are free of charge.
Our programs currently include:
Trinity Memories Cafe – A monthly luncheon held at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church for individuals and their caregivers to have a time of fun, food, and fellowship.
Carolina Caring Caregivers Support Group – A monthly meeting for caregivers held at Myers Memorial UMC to offer local resources, support, and a sense of community for those experiencing similar circumstances.
Coordinating educational activities/events for Gaston County residents in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Association.
